Plot Summary
Paul (Richard Bohringer) is a computer operator who works for a bank. He has just been dumped by his girlfriend, who left him for another man. Paul is heartbroken and decides to swear off women for good. He moves to a new apartment and tries to focus on his work and hobbies.
However, Paul soon finds himself surrounded by attractive and interesting women who seem to be interested in him. He meets Anne (Catherine Frot), a young and cheerful waitress who works at a nearby café. He also meets Isabelle (Isabelle Glorie), a sophisticated and seductive journalist who interviews him for a magazine. He also meets Yvette (Yvette Merlin), a lonely and eccentric widow who lives in the same building as him.
Paul tries to resist the temptation of these women, but he can't help feeling attracted to them. He starts to have casual relationships with them, but he always avoids commitment and intimacy. He tells them that he doesn't want anything serious, that he just wants to have fun. He also lies to them about his name, his job, and his past.
However, Paul's lies soon catch up with him. He realizes that he can't keep juggling these women without hurting them or himself. He also realizes that he is still in love with his ex-girlfriend, who suddenly reappears in his life. Paul has to make a choice: will he continue to play the field, or will he finally open his heart to someone?

Reviews and Reception
Du Sel Sur La Peau received mixed reviews from critics and audiences. Some praised the film's humor, charm, and performances, while others criticized the film's clichés, stereotypes, and sexism. The film was also compared to other French comedies of the same genre, such as Les Bronzés (1978) and Le Père Noël est une ordure (1982).
The film was not a commercial success at the box office. It only grossed about 1 million francs (about $200,000) in France. It was also not widely distributed outside of France. However, the film has gained some cult following over the years, especially among fans of Richard Bohringer and Catherine Frot.
